Dec. 31 deadline for Miss Brea contest

Auditions will be held for city's first pageant

BREA — Brea will hold its first pageant in March and is looking for applicants and sponsors for the event.

Applications to participate in the Miss Brea Pageant can be found online at www.missbreapageant.com. The deadline to apply for auditions is Dec. 31.

Auditions will be held at the end of January, a date has not yet been set. Ten girls will be chosen to go on to the pageant March 10 at the Brea Improv. The crowned queen will be eligible to compete for Miss California in June.

The pageant is also seeking sponsors, program advertisers and donations for contestant gifts.

& the Miss Brea Scholarship Pageant in cooperation with the Brea Community Center

join forces to host a daytime pageant workshop experience and evening pageant production for girls in the local community between the ages of 5 - 16. The event will take place December 13, 2008 at the Brea Community Center. All traditional aspects of pageant competition will be addressed.

Contact the Brea Community Center or the Miss Brea Pageant for more details. There is a fee associated with participating in this program as well as attending the evening pageant production. Only individuals who complete the daytime class can participate in the evening production. Proceeds from this event go to support Children's Miracle Network and Victims of Domestic Violence.
