Community support from individuals, businesses, families, organizations, clubs and corporations is why the Miss Brea Scholarship Pageant is able to give away a scholarship. Without donations and sponsorships none of this will happen. There are lots of ways you can get involved.
These are several areas to consider; Program Advertisements, Contestant Sponsors, In-kind Donations and Pageant Sponsors.
Program sales and advertisements are some ways the Miss Brea Pageant finances pageant expenses. Advertisments can be purchased by supportive friends and family and also by local businesses. We offer space on our web site for all advertisers. Contestants will pre-sale the programs as another way to finance pageant expenses.
Contestant Sponsors. (All donations are tax deductable). Each contestant will need at least one sponsor. Donations that contestant sponsors make pay for scholarships. A contestant can have two sponsors that divide the cost of sponsorship. The cost to sponsor a contestant is $500.00. Contestants are not responsible to find their own sponsors. Local businesses, clubs, organizations, family members and friends are all welcome to sponsor a contestant.
There are benefits for sponsoring a contestant. (All donations are tax deductable). The public will be made aware through news media, pageant programs and the pageant web site of all contestant sponsors. In turn, each contestant will announce their sponsor(s) name(s) during the Evening Gown competition at the beginning of the Miss Brea Pageant in March. The pageant program will contain pictures of the 10 finalists competing. Contestant sponsor names will be listed below the picture of each contestant in the program. If the sponsor provides flyers or business cards no later than Feb. 28th, this material can be placed on the tables at the Miss Brea Pageant hosted at the Brea Improv in March. The local newspaper will cover the progress of the Miss Brea Pageant. They will announce the ten contestants choosen after auditions in January. If sponsorship has been made prior to this announcement, it can be included in the press release to the local newspapers. Each contestant, accompanied by a chaperone, can visit there sponsor prior to the March competition, if donation is made by Feb. 1st. Each sponsor is welcome to invite Miss Brea to appear at a public function such as a grand opening, company anniversary, sales event or ribbon cutting after the March pageant and prior to the end of her reign for the year the donation was made.
In-Kind Donations. (All donations are tax deductable). Public awareness is made for all In-Kind donations through program advertisements and pageant web site. If companies making In-Kind donations have flyers or business cards available and given to pageant officials prior to Feb. 28th, these materials can be displayed on tables the night of the competition at the Brea Improv. This is a way for a local company to get involved and support the pageant and scholarship efforts and benefit themselves as well. In-Kind donations can be made for the Miss Brea Annual Fundraiser, contestant gifts, official Miss Brea Prizes or pageant production or administrative needs.
Once a year, the Miss Brea Pageant will host an Annual Fundraiser. At this fundraiser, we will auction off gift baskets. All auction items are donated. All proceeds from this fundraiser help to finance pageant expenses. Tickets purchased to win prizes at this fundraiser along with all proceeds from the bidding process help finance pageant expenses. It is estimated that approximately, $15,000.00 annually is needed for the Miss Brea Pageant to break even on expenses. In-Kind donations help defer this cost.
There are a maximum of 10 contestants in the Miss Brea Pageant. Contestant gifts made available through donation are made in lots of (10) so that each contestant is equily gifted. These gifts are a special way to honor the contestant and their efforts.
Miss Brea Prizes are all donated. Companies can get involved in sponsoring the Miss Brea Pageants goals by donating gifts to Miss Brea through the pageant. Recognition will be made publicly for all donated gifts.
The Miss Brea Pageant welcomes your donations to help defer costs for production and administrative needs. These needs can be met through donations from individuals, companies and the community. We have companies that donate their services and products to help the Miss Brea Pageant reach their goals. The Miss Brea Scholarship Pageant desires to give young women in the city of Brea another opportunity to better their lives and future, through scholarships and their competitive experience. Your various donations can help make that happen.
A Pageant Sponsor can be anyone who donates funds to the Miss Brea Scholarship Pageants general fund. The general fund is where the pageant draws money to pay for various things through the year. One expense that is paid for through this fund is for Miss Brea to compete in the Miss California Pageant in June. There are other expenses that are necessary to pay annually such as franchises fees, insurance, business licenses, association dues and fees. The Miss Brea Pageant is an actual company and in turn has legal obligations and fees it has to pay to continue functioning as such. Pageant sponsors play a big part in making all that happen. (All donations are tax deductable). The Miss Brea Pageant has sponsorships available in three catagories; Platinum Sponsor, Gold Sponsor, Silver Sponsor and Talent Award Sponsor.
